New Balance Revive a Premium Tennis Star: the T500

New Balance T500
New Balance T500

The New Balance T500 was originally released as a tennis shoe in 1982, with premium pigskin suede, nubuck, and perforated toe-box detailing allowing it to easily segue into the lifestyle sphere. After a long hiatus, the model was reintroduced last year via a collaboration with none other than Aimé Leon Dore, and New Balance are now relaunching the model into their general lines. Boasting sleek lines and a slim silhouette, there’s no better time to bring this heritage model back than right now.

The launch colourway design is the epitome of the T500: elegant, simple, and clean. The bulk of the upper is covered in luxuriously smooth cream suede with a crisp white N logo adding contrast. The off-white midsole, tongue and laces also add dimension, and a hint of colour rounds off the design with a light blue heel tab. Still stacked with the OG tennis specs, the T500 is the ultimate all-rounder. The iteration was launched with a ‘Quiet Please’ campaign video featuring Chris Cadaver that heroes the peace of quiet luxury.

The T500 will be available globally on March 14 for $120 through New Balance’s channels.
