New Reebok Question Mid References Classic Philadelphia Eagles Uniforms
are continuing an alternative timeline for the , with another colourway offering a glimpse into what could’ve happened had pursued a stint in the NFL instead of his storied NBA career. This white and mint green edition loosely references the uniforms of the Philadelphia Eagles, the local football team of the city where Iverson was selected as the number one pick in the NBA Draft in 1996 to play for the 76ers.
These Question Mids are not only unique for their historical inspiration, but for the material choice. There is a lot of mesh covering the upper in place of the usual leather. Only the mudguard, heel tab, and toe cap are rendered in leather, while the rest of the upper becomes very breathable with the large celled mesh. The lining also substitutes in some complementary terry towelling, which should work in tandem with the mesh for improved sweat wicking.
Elsewhere follows usual Question conventions, namely the contrast green toe cap (which is a football boot design reference), Hexalite windows highlighting the grey midsole, and lace-to-toe loop system. Contrast edge laces and smoky ice soles are also a little different to the norm. Alternate insole graphics replicate a football field, driving home the thematic inspiration, similarly to the recent edition.
The Reebok Question Mid ‘Philadelphia Eagles’ releases on December 4 via Reebok’s webstore.
