Nike 2015 Black History Month Collection
UPDATE: The entire Nike Black History Collection will be dropping January 17, via select Nike stockists, with a wider release due January 24.
February marks Black History Month in North America, and Nike has made it an annual tradition to pay tribute to the celebration by releasing a stack of limited edition products. In 2015, Team Swoosh has set a new benchmark, with 12 new sneaker designs served up along with a bunch of fresh apparel. The Kobe 9 Elite, LeBron 12, Kyrie 1, KD7, Air Max 1, Air Force 1, SB Dunk, Mercurial Superfly, Air Jordan XX9 and Air Jordan 1 are all painted up from a black and white palette, with intricate African-inspired patterns weaved into the mesh of the models. A portion of proceeds from the sale of the 2015 BHM Collection go to the Ever Higher Fund, which supports organizations that leverage the power of sport to maximize the potential of underserved youth. The fund’s mission is to assist communities with knowledge, resources and tools for the next generation of leaders.
