Nike ACG Add Extra Trail Tech to the Air Nasu GORE-TEX
have really focused on returning to their rugged roots by showing renewed reverence for old-school outdoors design, while still integrating their latest and greatest trail tech. The is a upgrade to last season’s hike-running debutant, and enters the footwear fray with some sharp palettes to boot.
The new colourways of the Air Nasu GORE-TEX may evoke comparisons to the distinct palettes used by trail runners from decades past, but these renditions are definitely specific to the Swoosh. Two-toned black and ‘Laser Orange’ is effectively seared into the pages of the Nike ACG playbook, and speckled midsoles have been a thing for over 30 years. There’s also a swamp-stomping ‘Clay Green’ that’ll hide any skid marks pretty well.
On the design tech front, there’s plenty for sneaker savants to gawk at: a subtly obvious homage to the Air Humara's midfoot webbing, Sticky Rubber outsoles stuck to midsoles borrowed from the Zoom Terra Zaherra, and welded panels galore. Oh yeah, there’s the waterproof-yet-breathable GORE-TEX membrane beneath the ripstop surface too – if the prominent branding didn’t already make that clear!
The Nike ACG Air Nasu is due to release on February 11 at selected global retailers.
