A beloved relic from Nike ACG’s late 1990s archive, the Air Exploraid is attempting to scale the zeitgeist once again in 2024. Long rumoured to return from the wild, Nike officially welcomed back the Air Exploraid as part of their SNKRS 2024 showcase, where they teased a sage rendition of the model.

Celebrating its 25th birthday this year, the Air Exploraid is now set to appear in ‘Hyper Royal/Laser Orange’, with the new composition immediately recalling its Air Mowabb sibling. Hot on the heels of the recent ‘Ash Green’ and ‘Sail’ renditions, the summer-ready composition is hit with all the familiar hallmarks of the Exploraid, including a layered, protective construction over the neoprene bootie and exterior netting on the midsoles – a common sight for Nike’s trail-focused footwear in the 1990s. Over on the heels, the vintage ACG logos recall the twilight years of the sub-label, which lay dormant until the mid-2010s when ACRONYM’s tech wizard Errolson Hugh seized the reins.

Currently, there’s no official word on a release date, but make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
