Deion Sanders’s Nike Air Diamond Turf Is Set to Return in Classic ‘Emerald’
inked a fresh deal with NFL Hall of Famer in 2023, which means we’re expecting plenty more Sanders love on the shelves in the new year. Following the successful revival of the Air DT Max 96 this year, it looks like Team Swoosh are preparing the classic to hit the field. Teased in the indelible OG ‘Emerald’ colourway, the Air Diamond Turf originally debuted back in the early 1990s and was specifically engineered for Sanders’s unique abilities in both football and baseball. The distinct design became a favourite for multidisciplinary athletes looking for versatile shoes across several sports. Always revered for its classic midfoot strap, the model appeared in a bounty of bold, flashy-as-hell colourways in the 1990s, as athletes looked to one-up each other in the sartorial sweepstakes.
Although there aren't any official images, early reports suggest a composition very much in line with recent retros, with the iteration’s titular shade occupying the Swoosh branding, pull tabs, and aspects of the sole. Retroed in 2010 and again in 2017, the 2025 remix will no doubt stay true to its impeccable predecessor, but we’ll make sure to update you on any small variations as we inch closer to an official release date. In the meantime, make sure to check out images of the 2017 retro above and stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
