Nike Take the Air Force 1 Mid to 'Venice'
The is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, and the influx of mid-cut editions is a welcome addition to the thousands of colourways amassed over the decades. Up next is a pair named the ‘Venice’, though it doesn’t appear to have any obvious connection to the Italian city. Either way, it’s a pretty, pretty, pretty nice shade.
This pair coincides with the re-release of the , and its colour-blocking and material selection mirrors its predecessor. What this means is uppers completely made of soft nubuck, which, according to anecdotal reports, is particularly tactile and nice to touch. The namesake ‘Venice’ is somewhere between light pink and lilac, so take extra care keeping them clean!
Unlike the brown pair and its faux vintage yellowing, this AF-1 is broken up by very crisp white accents on the laces, Swoosh, lining and midsole, the latter of which then meets a ‘Venice’ coloured outsole.
While not pictured above, these Uptowns are packaged in a throwback brown and orange shoebox – something sneakerheads into early-2000s pairs will fondly remember. The Air Force 1 Mid ‘Venice’ will be available directly via Nike on June 9, so don’t sleep by hitting the link below to cop.
