Return to Chicago: The Air Jordan 11 ‘Varsity Red’ Arrives at JD Sports

Still one of the most popular Jumpman models of all time, the Air Jordan 11 first took flight in 1996. Lacing the legendary model en route to one of Michael Jordan’s most impressive years (MVP, Finals MVP, a 72-10 record and fourth championship ring), the silhouette was taken to interstellar cultural heights thanks to its appearance in the animated classic Space Jam.

This year, the Jumpman has again extended the flawless legacy of the Air Jordan 11, with the latest ‘Varsity Red’ inspired by the iconic Air Jordan 11 ‘Cherry’ – first released in 2001.

Once again crafted in premium patent leather with an Air-Sole unit encased in the heel, the uppers are manufactured in white ballistic mesh with tonal webbing eyelets. Emblazoned with a classic embroidered Jumpman on the ankle collars and footbeds, lightweight cushioning arrives via plush Phylon midsoles. Underfoot, carbon fibre plates and frosty translucent rubber outsoles complete the design.

Undoubtedly one of the cleanest Jumpman colourways this year, the Air Jordan 11 ‘Varsity Red’ is scheduled to arrive at JD Sports on December 10. Leave no Jordanhead behind this festive season – the colourway is arriving in a full-size run.
