Air Max Day is fast approaching, and Nike are celebrating all month long, releasing the ‘Big Bubble’ and debuting the Air Max Pulse. That’s not all, Team Swoosh have been dropping a swathe of new and old Air Max 1 colourways too, and the latest has been dubbed ‘Michigan’. Interestingly, it’s been branded as a CO.JP release, although it’ll be available around the globe.

CO.JP references the URL domain for Japan, but in sneaker terms also means ‘Concept Japan’. Back in the day, Nike used to release sneakers branded CO.JP, usually made with premium materials and exclusive to Japan. Nowadays, the term has changed meaning slightly, with releases like this arriving worldwide.

Their latest Air Max 1 ‘Michigan’ dons a luxe outfit, boasting a mix of ‘Midnight Navy’, ‘Varsity Maize’ and ‘Natural’. The base layer is constructed with buttery smooth leather, with additional reptilian Swooshes, mudguard and nylon tongues. A mini Swoosh has been added to the lateral forefoot, alongside CO.JP insole branding and leather liner.
