You Can Call This Nike Air Max 1 the ‘Denim Leopard’

Over the many years that the Air Max 1 has been in production, Nike have crafted some wild and weird iterations. The ‘Grass’, ‘Kiss of Death’ and CNY ‘Longevity’ come to mind, and more recently, the women’s-exclusive ‘Great Indoors’, which boasted an eclectic mix of materials. Usually, these builds are fan favourites and come as part of Nike’s Premium line. Now, following the Air Max Day release of the celebratory ’Big Bubble’, a saucy colourway has surfaced dubbed the ‘Denim Leopard’.

Looking like a 1990s pimp, with the name to match, the ‘Denim Leopard’ comes correct in a diverse range of materials, highlighting the denim overlays and exaggerated cross-stitching. Elsewhere, two separate leopard print canvases reach the upper alongside textured underlays and Swoosh. The top of the tongue also boasts a leather logo patch, while the underside rocks a houndstooth pattern. Finally, the insoles are packed with detail, including a repeating Swoosh pattern.

The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Denim Leopard’ has allegedly been locked in to release at select Swoosh stockists on April 28.
