While his Airness is known for rocking the kicks adorned with his Jumpman, he was also particular to other Nike offerings. Everyone remembers the Air Jordan VII ‘Olympic’ pair that MJ wore during the Dream Team’s 1992 campaign in Barcelona, but the Nike Air Max 180 ‘Concord’ was a hidden gem MJ also wore in this time.

Originally released in 1991, the Air Max 180 was designed by Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore. Its particular innovation was reimagining the concept of ‘air’. The 180s have no foam between the Air-Sole and outsole, allowing for a bigger, more visible Air unit, so you can see why MJ was a fan. Beyond more air, the return is expected to feature metallic concord accents and the signature golden Swoosh. While hopes are for a series of signature 90s colourways, there is currently no further information on details of the potential drop.

The rumoured release date for these coveted silhouettes is hovering around Fall 2024, but Nike are yet to confirm the return. Stay locked to Sneaker Freaker, as we’ll keep you updated!
