The Nike Air Max 97 ‘White Bullet’ Remixes an Icon
Christian Tresser’s legendary celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, the supersonic silhouette originally storming the market in the late 1990s.
Famously modelled on mountain bikes and the image of a water droplet radiating outwards from a puddle, sneakerheads have been patiently waiting for fresh colourways to lace in 2022, the AM97’s brazen aesthetic sitting perfectly within the resurgent Y2K nostalgia.
Of course, the OG ‘Silver Bullet’ still holds a special place in the hearts of Air Max aficionados across the globe, so the latest ‘White Bullet’ remix is sure to please its multitude of fans.
Manufactured in a classic silver mesh base with white wavy leather overlays, the ‘White Bullet’ is emblazoned with red Swooshes blasted on the tongues and outcropped sides. The indomitable Air Max branding located on the heel tabs is this time rendered in black, an aesthetic choice also extended to the model’s insoles. In the engine room down below, a full length Air unit is scorched by red rubber outsoles.
