A deep cut from the archive is making a comeback this year. Originally released in the early 2000s, the tech-sperimental was officially announced for a revival during Nike’s in December. A sibling to the – a kinetic classic that earned a spot in our – the Air Max Craze shares design DNA with its distinctive zipper system and slingback heel closure. These elements align perfectly with the current mule-inspired footwear trends sweeping the industry.

Initially rumoured to relaunch with the creative touch of London-based designer and perennial hitmaker Nike appear to be starting with general-release (GR) colourways instead. Leading the charge is the OG bright citrus colourway that made its debut at the SNKRS showcase. Also on the way is a crisp white with gold and copper accents on the Air Unit, forefoot Swooshes, tongue branding, and heel detailing. The outsoles will also feature hints of gold for an extra touch of luxe.

Boasting maximalist, early-2000s-era visuals, the Air Max Craze is poised to make waves for Nike in 2025. While exact release details for either colourway are still under wraps, the arrival of official images this week suggests more news is imminent. As always, keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
