Nike Double Down on Dynamic Air For the Air Max Dn8

From the dominance of the scene to the ubiquity in Australian graffiti and the grip on sneakerhead culture, franchise has reigned supreme around the globe for almost four decades. Despite this, the Beaverton boffins aren’t resting on their laurels and are continuing to innovate with fresh takes on the colossal Air legacy. For Air Max Month in 2025, the latest chapter of Dynamic Air has now arrived with the .

If those tubes didn’t already give it away, the Nike Air Max Dn8 is a follow up to the , but it takes the Dynamic Air a step further by taking the pressurised tube chambers all the way from the rear to the forefoot. This provides all-day comfort and never-before-seen responsiveness for a lifestyle shoe.

‘When designing the Dn8, we kept thinking about what makes some of our favorite classic Air Max models so great: that you can put them on and go, and no matter what happens over the course of the day, that shoe is not only going to succeed, it’s going to exceed expectations,’ said Jonathan Kosenick, Nike’s lead designer for men’s sportswear. ‘We wanted to build a shoe that had the same sort of, "go anywhere, do anything" character — an impulsivity, a versatility that will perform under any circumstance by harnessing the capabilities of Dynamic Air.’

You can also see the influence of the other legends in Nike’s Air Max arsenal, with the Tuned franchise in particular acting as a muse for the fresh-faced Dn8. The mesh-clad upper and synthetic panels boast a similar assertive energy to the and , with the tube Air units reminiscent of the rare TN5 from 2003. The badge on the rear also serves as an ode, as it resembles the Tuned Air logo while also incorporating the upbeat vibes of the ‘Have a Nike Day’ campaign.

The spotlight colourway for the the Dn8 launch is the 'Gym Red', which doesn't shy away from flexing the model's curves. Most of the upper has been doused in the namesake tone, perfectly complementing the Air unit and blacked-out midsole.
