The Nike Air Max Plus Gets Dripped Out in Chrome

The 25th anniversary of may have been and gone, but the silhouette shows no sign of slowing down – ever. With a reputation that’s bolstered by an army of loyal Airheads, the Sean McDowell-designed silhouette has never left the shelves. Yet, Team Swoosh still manage to keep the heater colourways coming. This time, 'La Requin' (meaning 'the shark') comes with a liquified quality, as chrome accents ooze from the Tuned’s structured uppers.

This TN’s metallic TPU cage somehow makes the silhouette’s stance appear even meaner than usual, as a stealthy murdered-out, make up takes over the remainder of the pair’s palette. The model’s notoriously also comes lined with silver TPU material, while a black sole unit and blacked-out air bubble rest underneath. Breaking up the colour palette ever so slightly, the ‘Black/Chrome’ Air Max Plus retains its usual energetic yellow branding hits, here sitting on the insoles, heel tab, and outsole. The stealthy rendition is a far cry from the original sunset skies and swaying palm trees that inspired it – but that only validates the model’s versatility.

There’s no word yet on when the dripped out ‘Chrome’ Nike Air Max Plus will land, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more as it comes in.
