Last year, Nike’s perennial Air Max Plus celebrated its 25th anniversary, which saw a plethora of heater releases and celebratory product. In 2024, the party has continued, and there’s been plenty of heaters and sought-after iterations that have made a comeback. Following the legendary return of the ‘Fireberry’, new rumours have been swirling alleging that the ‘Eclair’, aka ‘Lightning’, may return in 2025.

Originally, the ‘Eclair’ released in 2000 in the United States and was actually made in China which is uncommon for TNs. This iteration's other name is ‘Lightning’ and it comes from the graphics that adorn the upper, which are reminiscent of the Air presto of the same name which also released in 2000. Next year will see 25 years since the initial release of the ‘Eclair’, and this will allegedly be an anniversary release.

Nike are yet to officially announce anything surrounding a return of the Air Max Plus ‘Eclair’, but stay locked to keep updated.
