The Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Rough Green’ is Available Now!
A legend of 1990s basketball, the carved out its own legacy in an era populated by superlative sneakers. Immortalised by and the indomitable Chicago Bulls, the Air More Uptempo carried with it all the gratuitous design DNA of the era, the street art style typography and bold uppers reflective of 1990s hip hop.
The Nike Air More Uptempo continues its larger than life impact on the sneaker industry in the 21st century, the brazen silhouette fuelled by the success of the Chicago Bulls documentary series, The Last Dance. The Air More Uptempo has also been exhumed on TV screens again in 2022, the chart-topping series places plenty of emphasis on Scottie Pippen’s classics.
The latest colourway to arrive is the Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Rough Green’, the militarised colourway first teased in January. Again appearing in its predominantly leather and nubuck construction, the latest model is composed in black, ‘Rough Green' and ‘Pilgrim’. Mesh tongues provide both visual and material depth, while the indelible ‘AIR’ branding is this time registered in ‘Rough Green’ (which extends to Swoosh branding on the toe and heel). The ‘NIKE AIR’ text on the insole has also been modified, the text appearing alongside a graphic print of dog teeth.
The Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Rough Green’ is available now for $160.
