Update August 15, 2022: Release details for the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 ‘Light Orewood Brown’ have arrived, the colourway slated to arrive on September 1.
One of most wonderfully wacky basketball shoes of the 1990s, the is best-known for its association with a young Jason Kidd and its famous bugged-out carbon fibre midsole windows. In 2022 it's getting another chance to shine thanks to a re-release of its famous , a GR version of a in the 1990s and even a – and that reign is continuing into the year's second half with a new tri-colour accented style.
Officially dubbed 'Light Orewood Brown/Blue Cobalt-University Gold-University-Red-Black-White' (take a breather if you'd like as we know that was a hell of a mouthful), this Air Zoom Flight 95 features a tonal 'Light Orewood Brown' upper with a no-frills black tongue. Fans of the model may be used to seeing more aggressive colourblocking or patterned prints up top, but here the key details are down below as they're served up by a quartet of different shades on the bug-eyed carbon fibre pods.
'University Red' appears on the small forefoot pod, 'Blue Cobalt' on the medium-sized midfoot pod and 'University Gold' on the large heel pod. If that wasn't enough carbon fibre goodness for you, the medial side's pod and the midfoot shank both feature a more traditional white-and-black setup to round things off.
If you're looking to score a pair of these joints, you'll have to wait a little while as a release date has yet to be announced. We'll be sure to keep you updated as soon as one is though!
