The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 Is Back in Black

If you can remember back to 2020, and the Nike had sneaker headlines in a chokehold. The archival Swoosh silhouette was from the archive by streetwear brand in a bevy of monochrome colourways that quickly became cult-favourites. Later that year, they also crafted the Nike – a hectic hybrid that merged the Spiridon Cage 2 midsole with an upper.

Following the high-heat colabs, Nike added the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 to their regular product catalogue; however, after a brief 12-month stint on shelves, Nike decided to put the silhouette on ice. The unofficial hiatus was almost four-years long, ending toward the beginning of 2024 when mysteriously appeared on NDC. Now, Team Swoosh are resurrecting the ‘Triple Black’ Spiridon Cage 2 this year.

This murdered-out Spiridon Cage 2 hosts a mix of ‘Black’, ‘Anthracite’ and ‘Smoke Grey’. The construction is pretty stock standard, with full-mesh uppers and glossy leather and synthetic overlays. All the usual Nike branding is present, including a retro ‘Zoom Air’ scripted logo on the insole.

While there’s been no exact release date for the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 ‘Triple Black’, we’re expecting pairs to land at select stockists mid-2024.
