Nike Basketball Give Paul George His First Signature Shoe
have announced that Indiana Pacers baller Paul George has joined the one percent. We don’t mean he’s among the fiscal elite, but that he has joined the diminutive number of Nike athletes to earn a signature Swoosh model. Sensibly named the PG1; the silhouette boasts bouncy Zoom Air tech, Flywire and a striking foot strap. It’s a build poised to cater to George’s dynamic play, and a shape born collaboration between George and designer Tony Hardman.
Aesthetically, the inaugural PG1 is nautically inspired. There are scales along the rear quarters, a Swoosh coloured like the inner of an abalone shell and the shoe itself is streamlined in the manner of a dolphin. A lace lock shaped like a bobber then ties it all together as a nod to George’s love for fishing.
A release date for the PG1 hasn't been named yet, stay tuned and we'll let you know when you can land a pair on deck.
