Nike Bring Back the Air Max 97 Plus
Nike’s Plus first hit shelves back in 2008 and proved to be a hit among Air Max aficionados. In keeping with their strong run of retro releases this year, Nike are set to bring back two AM 97 Plus make-ups.
The AM 97 Plus follows on from the Swoosh’s history of ‘sole swapping’: a practice where various Air Max uppers are placed atop sole units. In this release pack, Nike present two of these hybrid ‘sole swapped’ make-ups. First up, there’s the black and white Air Max Plus 97 – here, we see the sole unit of the Air Max Plus paired the upper of the Air Max 97.
In the second iteration, the Swoosh have flipped the shoe entirely, placing the sole of the Air Max 97 on the upper of the Air Max Plus. This Air Max 97 Plus comes in a pretty similar colourway to the aforementioned release, with a white midsole contrasting against a blacked-out upper.
If you’re looking to dip your feet into the best of both Air Max worlds, we suggest getting around these hyped hybrids.
