Nike Air Max Bw (Olympic)
UPDATE: As the July 7 release date approaches, we're getting more imagery – almost daily – of the upcoming Air Max BW retro. Check out some of the new studio shots in the gallery above.
UPDATE: We've come a long way from NikeBlogs first leaking the below images of the Nike Air Max BW 'Olympic'. We've since been given a confirmed release date of July 7, but jumped the gun and released the shoe early. Punters swooped on the BW, quickly taking all available sizes off shelves – which goes to show that when the shoe gets a wider release in July it's going to be a hard one to come by. In the meantime, check these pics from Rock City and think of how good your day could of been.
In sneaker terms, when most people think of the '96 Atlanta Olympics, the go-to is . But, if you talk to an Air Max collector, the is the one and only. And if you so happen to talk to an Air Max collector today, they're probably losing their shit because news has just broke that the model will be rereleased for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
From what we can tell from the initial images, changes on this BW are minimal. The original had a large flag on the heel, which doesn't seem to appear here, and the tongue on the 2016 version seems slimmed down.
The Nike Air Max BW 'Olympic Retro' is slated to be released on July 7 through select outlets.
