Nike Cortez Textile Collection
Amongst the Jordan 30th anniversary celebrations and all the hoo-ha surrounding the Air Max 90 and 95s, Nike has been (not so) quietly dropping solid releases here and there throughout 2015. Today NikeLab followed up the with the Textile Collection, a series of five colours that use the nylon base of the original design as the base of the construction, but utilising multiple materials to create the rest of the iconic 1972 runner. With suede overlays across the toe and eyestays, corduroy wraps the heel panel and tongue, while a leather sockliner and waxed laces complete the multi-textured concept. Carrying over from the Big Tooth collection, a mini Swoosh sits at the toe to double up on that branding tip. All five colourways are now available at Nike.com if you want to get some finer fabrics into your Cortez rotation. We've already got our eyes on the grey and the navy joints!
