Nike Dress the Air Max 96 II in ‘Cool Grey’

Continuing with its welcome return to the sneaker scene, the Nike  Air Max 96 II is set to land in a ‘Cool Grey’ colourway, which is a strong look for the cult classic member of the storied Air Max franchise. Fresh from the recent arrival of a patriotic red, white and blue colour scheme, and the earlier emergence of an all-black build, this tonal grey offering is sure to be popular amongst the nostalgic 90s crowd.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and frequently over-shadowed by its higher profile siblings –the  Air Max 95 and  Air Max 97 – the Air Max 96 has already returned in its mystical OG ‘Golden Rod’ colourway this year.

Featuring a period-correct material combo of leather and mesh, the AM96 is a somewhat hidden jewel within the expansive Air Max range. While multiple shades of grey appear on the upper of this upcoming release, a clean white midsole above a black outsole provides clear contrast. Speaking of the sole specifics, Nike have returned to the original mould, after the 2016 ‘retro’ opted for the sole unit from the Air Max 95 Ultra.
