The Nike Dunk Low and Air Max 97 'Golden Gals' Are All Glammed Up

There's every chance that fans of the iconic retro sitcom Golden Girls will be eyeing these 'Golden Gals' kicks off at first glance of the duo's name. And despite the fact that both pairs would arguably not look out of place in any of the wardrobes rocked by the show's main characters, Nike's inspiration has been drawn from elsewhere.

They've looked to the current creative makeup trends of the modern era, seeing the Nike Dunk Low and Nike Air Max 97 arriving all dressed up – with everywhere to go.

The Dunk Low looks to be keeping up appearances in 2022, with the recent announcement of the Valentine's Day edition. But before the year closes out, this upcoming iteration's silver flake leather overlay and shiny laces have the model going out with a bang, along with classic Dunk colour-blocking and black Swoosh. The AM97, no stranger to a wild fit-out, is seen featuring a gold flake overlay with reflective material, and an embroidered mini Swoosh as a finishing touch. The highlight on both silhouettes is absolutely the texture brought about by the glitzy leather.

Both are looking to arrive on SNKRS on December 10, with the Dunk priced at $110 and the AM97 at $180.
