The Nike Dunk Low ‘Berlin’ Gets its Own Eyebrow Ring
No, aren't honouring nü-metal with this upcoming , but the great city of Berlin. The hip German hub for music, art, fashion and countercultures of all kinds takes centre stage on this unique take on the Dunk that even includes its own set of piercings. And the placement of said hoops near the top of the laces definitely gives off the vibe of eyebrow piercings.
This sleek makeover for the Dunk Low features multiple callouts to Berlin, including black patent leather panels that reference the city’s fashion scene, which are then overlaid with abstract graphics in matte black that represent the city’s well-known tattoo artists. You’ll also find a matte black mini Swoosh at the toe.
The drab grey accents throughout the upper and cement-like speckled rubber midsole are nods to Berlin’s history as an industrial town. The details keep coming with ‘No Photography’ icons on the inside of the tongue tags, a common sign you’ll see inside the city’s many nightclubs. A circular sticker graphic in neon yellow is applied over the ‘NIKE’ logo on the right shoe’s heel tab, while three more circular stickers cover the Nike logo on the left shoe’s insole.
There is no official word yet on when the Nike Dunk Low ‘Berlin’ will drop, but these official images hint that a release will be on the way soon. Keep your browser tuned to Sneaker Freaker for further updates.
