The Dunk Low CO.JP ‘’ is set to be rereleased for the first time later this month. Originally dropping in 2017 when Nike relaunched the line, it pays homage to the roots of the Nike Dunk. The ‘Be True to Your School’ mashup colourway seen on this pair nods to the first group of Nike Dunks ever, with the , , , and colourways featured.

The CO.JP program was most prominent in the mid-90s through the 00s, as it came at a time when Nike were still expanding their global reach. CO.JP, which stood for Concept Japan, was also the URL for Nike’s Japan website. The program featured several Japanese exclusives. These pairs were highly sought after and were truly signals of the IYKYK pre-social media sneaker culture. Some of the best from this line include the ’ and the . Sneakerheads had to be incredibly committed, creative, and connected if they wanted to secure one of these legendary pairs.

Since its relaunch in 2017, the CO.JP program has rereleased a number of rare pairs from this iconic era in sneaker culture.
