The self-lacing is the obvious star of the show – it's a self-lacing shoe for crying out loud! – but there's some some serious technical advancement going down in all camps over at Beaverton. For the 'barefoot' runners out there, the Swoosh have stepped up their game and heavily overhauled with the Free RN Motion Flyknit. The new sole unit makes allowance for the natural expansion and contraction of the foot with each stride by introducing a two-plane auxetic midsole. The new tri-star outsole is able to splay with each step, to provide a truly unhindered running experience. Interestingly, the sole unit is created with dual-injection technology that uses heat, not glue, to bond the IU and IP foam components, which is said to deliver the most cushioning yet for the Nike Free line. Naturally, is utilised for the upper, but this time around it has been stretched right under the foot. The Swoosh is back!
