Nike Get Inspired by Pirate Radio for This Air Max 90 Duo
Pirate radio is deeply engrained in London culture, and has been for decades, with countless radio stations in action over the past 30 years helping to highlight niche subcultures and music. Another London icon is the , which has been the go-to shoe for many in the city, so we aren’t surprised that have brought these two iconic entities together.
Pulling inspiration from pirate radio, Team Swoosh have created two seperate colourways of the Air Max 90 that we’re sure will get Londoners licking their lips. Heading up the pack is an all-white beauty composed with a full-leather upper. Along the sides a small metallic gold Jewel Swoosh adds a luxe touch with the matching lace dubrae reading: ‘Nike Air Max’. The second pair is quite the opposite, constructed using a mix of leather and ripstop material, and has been decked out in a mix of blue, grey and red. Elsewhere, we’ve got the embroidered Swoosh, which is a nice touch. Completing both pairs is the icy blue outsoles, and radio frequency waves on the heel badge.
Expect both pairs of pirate radio–inspired Nike Air Max 90s to arrive at SNKRS GB on January 19.
