Back Like Bayou Magic: The KD 6 ‘All-Star’ Rises Again

are resurrecting a fan-favourite with the return of the ‘All-Star’. Originally released in 2014 during the NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, the bold colourway formed part of the coveted ‘NOLA Gumbo League’ collection – a pack that paid homage to the city’s eclectic culture.
The ‘NOLA Gumbo League’ was a fictional concept created by Nike to celebrate New Orleans’ rich blend of influences. Each sneaker in the pack –including designs for and – drew inspiration from the city’s jazz heritage, voodoo folklore, street art, and culinary traditions. Much like a gumbo stew, the collection was about mixing distinct ingredients into one unforgettable flavour.
For the KD 6, that meant a glow-in-the-dark translucent green outsole, intricate linework on the upper that resembled a city map, and a bold ‘Green Glow’ palette that captured the electric vibe of the Big Easy. It’s a standout colourway in Durant’s catalogue and one of the most creatively ambitious All-Star designs in Nike Basketball history.
The KD 6 ‘All-Star’ will retail for $140 and is expected to release between January and March 2026 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. With other retro gems like the also making a comeback, it’s clear Nike is giving KD’s early catalogue the flowers it deserves.
