Nike Kobe 11 (Achilles Heel)
After a fortnight ago, have officially unveiled the – The last signature shoe the will ever wear on court. A carefully-crafted refinement more than a major evolution, the Kobe 11 has been engineered to perfection in the hands of Nike Innovation Director Eric Avar. The Flyknit upper has been bolstered with TPU fibres to provide a greatly reinforced upper. Down below, the drop-in midsole integrates Zoom Air into the heel and Lunarlon cushioning up front, while Free-Flex grooves allow it to bend with the foot and provide superior flexibility. Paying tribute to the extensive surgery on Bryant's Achilles heel back in 2013, four stitch marks don the left heel in recognition of the four feet of thread required to hold it all together, while on the right heel a literal representation of Achilles himself. The Kobe 11 will officially release on January 9th at Nike Basketball accounts worldwide. You can expect Nike to send off the great man with a bang, so stay tuned for an onslaught of killer colourways in 2016.
