Official Look: Nike Kobe 4 Protro 'Black Mamba'

Update December 14, 2023: Ahead of the sneaker's December 26th drop date, Nike have unveiled official photos of the Nike Kobe 4 'Black Mamba'. Check out the photos above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.

Update December 12, 2023: We've got some new detailed images of the Kobe 4 'Black Mamba' from @swiftsole, along with reports of an accompanying clothing collection called 'Gift of Mamba'. It will reportedly feature a tee and Nike Destroyer jacket that both feature Kobe's iconic numbers 8 and 24 inside a Black Mamba eating its own tail and the dates of Kobe's NBA championships. The tee will retail for $50 and the jacket for $824.

Nike Basketball are rolling out their plans for Holiday 2023, and it looks like Kobe fans have a lot to look forward to. The Kobe Bryant estate and Nike have renewed their partnership, which kicked off with the launch of the Kobe 8 Protro ‘Halo’. More Nike Kobe Protros are now set to be on the way, such as the Kobe 6 Protro ‘Reverse Grinch’ and this upcoming Kobe 4 Protro taking after Kobe’s Black Mamba moniker.

Dressed in an all-black look, the upper uses different materials and patterns to bring some contrast to the sneaker. Nubuck makes up the base with faux snakeskin placed on the overlays and Swoosh, getting into the Mamba Mentality mood. The Shozuku logo on the tongue and 24 on the heel are also blacked out, with Kobe’s signature in gold being the only pop of colour on the external heel counter. Zoom Air is used for impact protection and a black outsole finishes off the sneaker.

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro ‘Black Mamba’ is expected to drop on December 26, 2023, via SNKRS and at select retailers for $190. Check out the photos above and keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for any updates.
