Nike and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City have rekindled their partnership. As announced earlier this week, sneakerheads and art aficionados alike can expect a series of limited-edition co-branded product releases.

Per the news release, this collaboration 'will underscore the connection between movement and design while offering a reminder that inspiration is often exemplified in everyday objects'. Aesthetically, the Everyday Socks come in an array of bright colours and serve as playful accessories. As we have seen in the past, when Nike and the MoMA link up, they are capable of creating influential pieces.

Over the past decade, the duo have forged a unique partnership. Spurred on by the late Virgil Abloh’s genius, the two connected several years ago with the release of the Off-White x Air Force 1 Low '07 'MoMA'. In 2018, the black and silver Air Force 1 was available exclusively at the museum, and it quickly became one of the most coveted sneakers of the Off-White x Nike catalogue. The lowest buy-now price on StockX currently sits at a little over $10,000. While this may be what most sneakerheads consider the genesis of the two joining forces, their relationship goes further back. Circa 2012, Nike unveiled the 'FuelBand', an innovative product that embraced making fitness fun and introduced the concept of sharing your workouts with your friends digitally. The ‘FuelBand’ now holds an exhibit at the museum.

The MoMA Nike Everyday Sock is now exclusively available at MoMA Design Store locations in the United States. More co-branded products will be revealed soon.
