With the Y2K resurgence in full swing in the sneaker industry, there’s a few models that really stand to cash in. The Nike P-6000 is undoubtedly one of those 2000s-esque hits – despite actually releasing in 2019. Inspired by the bold, supersonic visuals moving at blistering speed in 2023, the P-600 actually takes design cues from the classic Nike Pegasus line. Imbued with a retro-futurist running aesthetic, the P-6000 is manufactured in breathable mesh and synthetic overlays. Down below, foam midsoles provide ample lightweight cushioning.

The latest colourway once again emblazons the P6000 with big Y2K vibes. Composed in ‘Metallic Silver’, ‘Team Royal’, and ‘White’ tones, the sleek build is highlighted with ‘Team Royal’ across the Swooshes, tongues, insoles and outlining along the midsoles. Inky black rubber outsoles complete the design.

In direct competition with peers like the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 – a legitimate frontrunner thanks to its certified 2000s credentials – it’ll be interesting to see just how much momentum the P-6000 generates beyond 2023.

The women’s-exclusive Nike P-6000 ‘Metallic Silver/Team Royal’ is expecting to arrive over the coming months.
