Fresh images have surfaced of the ‘City of Cinema’; however, they show a much more sophisticated version of the early sample we saw just last month.

Paris is the city of the year in 2024, with the famous capital getting a plethora of iterations in celebration of the Summer Olympics. , while known for their hyped collaborations, are sticking to GRs for their dedications, releasing a line of designs that celebrate the city’s different characteristics. So far, we’ve received two pairs on Valentine’s Day, a in April, and now, one that celebrates the Parisian love affair with cinema.

We first saw the ‘City of Cinema’ last month, and it showed a popcorn-yellow upper and midsole, which had a cracked look that reflects the texture of the must-have cinema treat. Plush red velvet on the tongue and cuff called to the red of the theatre’s curtains and chairs, whereas navy is used on the sock liner to contrast the brighter colours. The defining characteristic of these early sample pairs was a disturbing smear of brown varnish on the midsole, which could have been referencing the wood of old Parisian cinemas, but definitely failed to round off the concept.

This feature has been removed on the pair that @masterchefian posted, and it's matched with a more sophisticated take all round of the colours and materials. The yellow is more subdued, the Swoosh is an inky black, and the laces are in the warm red of the velvet instead of a mustard yellow. There’s also a better look at the insole, which shows an illustration of a stage with red curtains tied back and dramatic masks on the heel.

There’s no official date for the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘City of Cinema’ yet, but they are expected to land by the end of the year. Stay locked to SF for updates.
