Nike SB Releasing the VX1000-inspired Dunk Low 'Camcorder'
keep it with their latest colourway, taking inspiration from the Sony VX1000 camcorder. Long-regarded as the industry standard when it came to skateboarding videography, the famed piece of kit was favoured for its ease-of-use, durability, and its capability with a wide-angled fish-eye lens.
The camcorder references are aplenty, with ‘SHUTTER SPEED’, ‘WHT BAL’, ‘REC LEVEL’ and ‘PEAK’ text scattered across the upper. Meanwhile, the eyelets arrive in red and yellow, a clever nod to the VX1000’s pause and stop buttons. As for construction, the shoe features premium tumbled leathers in white, grey and black. The camera quirks also feature on the insoles, with ‘0:00:01’ alluding to the start of the recording process. Down below, a white midsole and grey outsole round out the look.
At this stage, the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Camcorder’ looks to be a region-exclusive release. Look out for them at Nike SB‘s Orange Label skate shops in Europe and Asia on February 20. We’ll let you know if a wider release rolls through.
