Nike SF Air Force 1 Mid (Black)
UPDATE: For all its impressive height, the OG SF Air Force 1 wasn't the kind of shoe you could just sub in and out of your rotation on the fly. Accommodating for its extra-high cut took some serious adjustment to bring your outfit into proportion. Fortunately, wearers won't be faced with the same troubles when it comes time to strap on this upcoming mid-cut release, as proved by this set of on-foot images from .
The Nike SF Air Force 1 Mid in 'Black' will be available June 8 through and select Nike stockists, including .
Having made its debut , the SF Air Force 1 spawned a new generation of fiends with its tactical overhaul of the trusty Uptown. Borrowing design elements from the all-terrain – aka SFB – the sky-high redesign featured metal eyelets, quick-lace hooks, secure ankle straps and sturdy uppers made of grain leather and ballistic nylon. While perfect for the winter, have reduced the intensity to bring us a mid-cut rendition more fitting for the warmer months.
Categorised as 'Urban Utility Footwear', the SF Air Force 1 Mid preserves much of the military-grade styling of the original, but loses the ripcord ankle strap in the chop. It also introduced a double-zip system at the heel, addressing one of the original's key issues – the ability to get the shoe on and off in a hurry. The debut colourway for this mid-cut rendition features an almost all-black colour scheme with tiger-stripe camouflage jacquard at the rear. Text in white is laid atop the print, while the smoky black sole unit looks to conceal yellow cushioning within.
