Another Swoosh-Veteran Gets Promoted at Nike

are in the midst of a corporate reshuffle that could prove instrumental since it’s no secret the Swoosh have been struggling. Late in October, the Beaverton accountants dropped their , which reported their total revenue dropped by 10 per cent compared to the same quarter last year. Culturally though, Nike are still looking strong with that it’s still their favourite brand. There’s also a new CEO at the helm, , who’s a long-time veteran at the brand, . Now, Nike have announced that Tom Peddie, another long-time employee, will get promoted to GM of North America.

After retiring from three decades at Nike in 2020, Peddie re-joined the company in July of this year, initially in the role of vice president of marketplace partners.

‘I’m excited to welcome Tom Peddie back to North America. No one is more qualified to lead North America’s next stage of strategic growth, grounded in sport,’ said Nike’s President of Geographies and Marketplace Craig Williams in a statement. ‘Importantly, Tom’s outstanding relationships with our retailers and deep experience developing an integrated marketplace will be critical to accelerating our future success.’

Peddie is set to replace in his new role. Uzzell is another long-time employee who served as the president and CEO of Converse for four years before taking the role that Peddie now holds. He took over that job from Sarah Mensah back in 2023 when she became the first female president of Jordan Brand. ‘I’d also like to thank Scott for his dedication, passion and leadership during his six years with Nike and Converse. We wish him every success in the future,’ Williams also said.

Tom Peddie’s new role comes into effect on October 21.
