Nintendo X Vans Collection

UPDATE: We've got a release date and some new images of the Nintendo x Vans collection. These pics reveal a 'Game Over' message hidden on the original waffle outsole, and contextualise the shoes' graphics with backgrounds from the games they were inspired by.

The Nintendo x Vans Collection will hit select Vans retailers from June 3.

First it was Converse and now fellow vulc-sole icon  has been bestowed with Nintendo's Official Seal of Quality. Mario and Co. run rampant on a slew of silhouettes, including the , and the ever-timeless . Everyone from Donkey Kong to Zelda to Duck Hunt's titular avian are represented in OG NES form. Even the gets in on the 80s nostalgia, with an 8-bit sidestripe.

The Nintendo x Vans capsule collection will be available from sneaker stores, including Germany's 43einhalb, this June.
