Official Images of the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low
When leaked images of the x Low first emerged on the Internet a few months ago, many thought the out-there execution was too much to be true. The faux-vintage design has also divided the sneaker community, with some appreciating the concept, while others were very quick to decry it.
These official pics will likely reinforce these polarising views, with extra clarity on the materials and modifications on show. Previously seen was the black and blue version, which hid a lot of the unconventional touches. Meanwhile, this white and red edition not only reveals everything – warts and all – but is also a nice nod to one of the model’s original colourways.
In a way, this AJ2 Low has been somewhat left unadulterated by OW’s . There is a marked improvement in the silhouette, which reportedly was based on closely studying and reproducing an OG pair. That eye for detail is supposedly also expressed with the faux midsole cracking, which actually is a solid slab of yellowed foam with clear sections to simulate gaps.
The colab is finished off with trademark OW touches, including exposed foam collars, Helvetica text on the medial, and a complimentary hangtag. At present, the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low is slated for a November 12 release.
