Official Images: The Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Bloody Chrome’

UK grime artist Skepta continues to impress with his Swoosh sneaker catalogue, the Tottenham talent already linking up with Nike for contemporary classics like the Air Max 97 Sk and Nike Shox TL.

After dropping the Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Bright Blue’ back in April, we’ve now got our second colourway of the silhouette ready to hit retail shelves.

Again revisiting the concept of metamorphosis, the phosphorescent Air Max Tailwind 5 was originally conceived to resemble butterfly wings. An ode to the ever-changing process of developing a creative idea, the latest colourway switches-out the blue web-like pattern overlays for red. Iridescent tongues displaying ‘SK AIR’ are again enforced on the Tailwind 5, while the neck-craning chrome quarter wing again adds a metallic sheen to the design.

Look for the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind V ‘Bloody Chrome’ to release on June 12. The retail price tag is set at $180.
