Official Pics of the Air Jordan 1 CO.JP 'Midnight Navy'
Revealed as part of Holiday 2020 retro collection, the CO.JP ‘Midnight Navy’ returns for the first time since its debut in 2001. Originally a Japanese exclusive, the sought-after colourway was part of the ‘Concept Japan’ lineup, which also included the recently re-released . The OG drop consisted of just 3000 pairs, but you can expect the 2020 retro to drop in much larger numbers.
The AJ1 ‘Midnight Navy’ retains the OG scheme, while subtly altering some of the details. The upper consists of clean white leather on the toe box, quarter panels, throat and collar, with the matte navy nubuck hitting the mudguard, eyestays, heel, and collar flaps. The shimmering silver hue adds a luxe touch to the colourway, dressing the side Swoosh and the traditional Wings logo on the ankle collar.
Where the OG pair made use of white on the aforementioned logo, the new version changes things up not only in colour, but with an updated three-dimensional look. Other alterations include the ‘Nike Air’ tongue branding (replacing the OG’s Jumpman), and ‘CO.JP’ insoles (instead of being individually numbered). As expected, white midsoles and navy outsoles feature down below.
The Air Jordan 1 CO.JP ‘Midnight Navy’ releases on November 14. Look out for a list of retailers closer to the date!
