Nike Reveal Olivia Kim's 90s Streetwear-Inspired 'No Cover' Colab
As a continuation of the concept shops they first announced back in 2016, Olivia Kim – Nordstrom's VP of Creative Projects – and have teamed up for a brand new collaboration that takes cues from the streetwear that defined New York City in the 1990s.
As the Swoosh explain, 'The collection's name, "No Cover", is somewhat of a double entendre to a cover charge one would associate with New York nightlife. In Kim's eyes, this collection is meant for everyone – men and women, the young and the old – in order to promote no judgements and no rules.'
The 'No Cover' colab not only features 16 pieces of apparel and accessories, but also includes Kim's own takes on five of her favourite sneakers. The , , , , and are all included here, each with Kim's own special touch. The AJ4s, for example, are a spin on the classic 'Black Cat' look, while the low-top AF-1s pay tribute to the original 'Ivory Snake'. Rastafarian hues and zebra stripes decorate the AM98 and Footscape, respectively, while a modern take on an OG Mowabb colourway rounds out the drop.
'No Cover' drops on October 31 in the United States, before launching globally on November 8.
