On-Foot: The sacai x Nike Pegasus VaporWaffle SP

Cynthia Lu’s sacai label continues to impress with its experimental sneakers, the latest sacai x Nike Pegasus VaporWaffle SP again causing necks to crane at radical angles. Combining 1983’s Pegasus with the future-forward VaporFly technology, the silhouette again doubles down on the material and aesthetic lens. Following up the industry-shaping LD Waffle from last year (which we dubbed the sneaker of the year), the latest silhouette was originally dubbed the VaporPegasus before a rebrand.

Debuting on the runways of Paris in FW20, the double leather Swoosh and double tongues strike a balance between streetwear and high fashion, the sneaker seen on fashionistas and hypebeasts across the globe.

Now, sacai look to extend their strong momentum into 2021, with the latest imagery providing an on-foot look at their latest Pegasus VaporWaffle colourway. Dressed in navy blue, brown and white, the colourway does not currently have a release date, but keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
