On-Foot: The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Baroque Brown’
Houston rapper continues to pulverise the sneaker industry with high-profile collaborations, earth’s preeminent collaborator most recently linking up with for a hype-inducing .
La Flame is well on his way to overhauling everything in the Beaverton brand’s catalogue, the latest on-foot imagery of the Air Max 1 a testament to Scott’s already-established aesthetic. Images of Travis Scott’s Air Max 1 collaboration have been leaking like a sieve for the past couple of months, the latest on-foot imagery of the ‘Baroque Brown’ colourway today shared by Instagram user ylt_r3_.
Of course emblazoned by Scott’s signature flipped-Swoosh, the ACG-inspired aesthetic obviously takes notes from the great outdoors, with ‘Lemon Drop’ mesh uppers sitting pretty in contrast to the ‘Baroque Brown’ palette. Up top, fiery ‘Chile Red’ rope laces add some spice to the colourway, while special Travis Scott x Nike co-branding appears on the heels and tongues.
It’s not just the colour palette that’s received a Travis Scott remix, however, La Flame structurally overhauling the silhouette with unique midfoot and forefoot overlays. Interestingly, the tongue also looks like it has lost a little weight compared to its AM1 contemporaries.
