When the Air Max Plus, or TN, was first presented to in 1998, the execs were uncertain, so they took it down to one of their stores to see the reaction. The kids immediately flocked to it, saying it looked like an extraterrestrial sneaker. The TN has been a cult favourite ever since, reaching even new heights of popularity since its 25th birthday last year, so it’s no surprise that the collaborative takes keep on coming.

One Block Down have applied their signature bold yet simplistic touch to the TNs, keeping the typical structure and style of the model. The first colourway is a cool-toned blue that gradates from white to dark blue through an aqua shade, whereas the other one takes on a warm orange gradient with a pop of purple on the Swoosh and branding. Both iterations nod to OG colourways ‘Hyper Blue’ and ‘Tiger’ while still presenting a fresh spin, especially with the silver mudguards and black midsoles. Subtle One Block Down branding also hits the design, blending in seamlessly with the veins on the toe and also appearing on the insole, tongue and lace tips.

While there’s been no official confirmation, the One Block Down x Nike Air Max Plus pack is expected to hit shelves in the Northern Hemisphere’s Fall. Stay locked for further news.
