Orange You Glad to See the Nike Air Max 1 ‘Magma Orange’?
Firstly, apologies for the ham-fisted pun. But it’s true: sneakerheads should be very excited by this upcoming . The ‘Magma Orange’ is a standout addition to the retro AM1 lineup because it follows the proven and materials, as used on the top-tier releases in the past couple of years.
The all-important features begin from the top. Anniversary-style AM1s feature a nylon tongue that is piped around its upper edge to replicate the 1987 original, which is again used here. Seemingly insignificant details like the mesh weave pattern are routinely scrutinised by Airheads, and this drop passes with flying colours. Elsewhere, microfibre panels are materially correct, and the specific placement of ‘Magma Orange’ across the mudguard, Swoosh, top eyelet, and heel branding is great. In fact, with some faux patina, this colourway could easily slot into Nike’s vintage archives. While on the throwback tip, even the contrast orange outsole toe bumper seems to be a detail reserved only for the primo AM1s. Don’t worry GR editions – !
Thankfully, instead of storage, the Air Max 1 ‘Magma Orange’ will see a release real soon. November 19, in fact, via Nike retailers and all good sneaker stores.
