Packer and adidas Create Clean Forum 84 Hi Collaboration
are continuing their long-running collaborative partnership with adidas by releasing a trio of 84 Hi colourways that are very, very clean. Simply based on white leather and single colour accents, this seemingly simply execution actually becomes more complex once looked at closely.
The Forum 84 is a true-to-OG remake of the former flagship basketball shoe from adidas. A premium notch above the GR editions, this model sees soft white and cream leather used on most of its upper in what can only be described as a sharper silhouette. Suede stripe branding emerges in ‘Forest’, ‘Maroon’ and ‘Navy’ options, colours which are then replicated on the solid rubber outsoles.
For the subtler details, it’s a material play. The tongue is made from mesh, a rather practical decision for comfort, and adds extra texture. On the topic, the heel counter is a slightly different shade to the rest of the upper, making for depth. And towards the front, the shoe’s throat is tonal aniline suede – perhaps the subtlest detail of the entire colourway.
The Packer x adidas Forum 84 Hi collaboration will be available on February 18 exclusively from Packer’s web store plus their Jersey City and Teaneck locations.
