Palace Finally Have a Vans Colab with the Authentic
have tallied up what feels like an innumerable amount of collaborations since their 2009 launch, so it comes as quite a surprise that it’s taken 12 years to link up with one of skateboarding’s OGs: . Well, it’s finally happening, and they are making up for lost time by dropping three colourways of the classic that are complete with signature Palace motifs.
Ever wondered whether the duck mascot that frequently appears in Palace releases has a name? According to the brand, its name is Jeremy the Duck, and he also happens to be their best employee. And Jeremy the Duck can’t be missed on these Authentics, because his cartoon headshot (throwing up a cheerful thumbs up) framed by a blue circle is printed all over the heavyweight canvas. Set against cream, black or ‘Salmon’, the result is a strong visual contrast.
Other Palace personalisation includes the Triferg logo printed onto the midsole tape at the heel next to an oversized Vans text logo, and a checkered lateral tab in place of the regular red Vans type. Everything else is standard Vans, namely the waffle tread sole and red heel plate.
The Palace x Vans Authentic will release on July 2 via Palace’s retail and online stores.
