Paris Saint-Germain Pair Psychedelic Purple with the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT
The between French Ligue 1 football team and their kit sponsors continues to strengthen in 2021, with an upcoming High Zoom CMFT colab. While it’s not the first rodeo for both parties with the AJ1, there are some intriguing details that set this edition apart from the .
As the lengthy model name reveals, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT is retrofitted with some modern technology to make the 35-year-old basketball shoe that bit more comfortable. Soft suede, slightly unstructured uppers instantly hug the foot, working in tandem with fairly plush foam lining that is exposed at the ankle collar, revealing the comfort credentials inside. Beneath the surface is Zoom Air tech in the soles, providing extra cushioning underfoot.
Practical updates aside, there are some unique additions that make these distinctly PSG. At first sight, the light grey and black uppers are pretty low-key, but the cloudy purple-pink collar accent, gradient Wings and tongue logos, and deep purple lining are anything but subtle. A co-branded heel counter crest seals the deal on this psychedelic pairing.
While neither PSG nor Jordan Brand have confirmed drop dates, most signs on the sneaker 8-Ball point to a January 29 drop.
